Who is your "One More"?
At Waypoint Church, we believe that every person has the opportunity to make an eternal difference in someone’s life. “One More” is our initiative to encourage relational evangelism—a simple, intentional way to share the love of Jesus with those around you.
Why “One More”?
Acts 2:47 says, “And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” This verse reminds us that God is at work every day, drawing people to Himself through His church. “One More” challenges each of us to join in this mission by identifying one person in our life who needs hope, love, and a connection to Jesus.
How does it work?
“One More” is about three simple steps:
- Identify your “One More”:
- Who in your life needs to experience the love of Jesus? Maybe it’s a friend, co-worker, neighbor, or family member. Take a moment to think and pray about someone God has placed on your heart.
- Pray for them daily:
- Commit to praying for your “One More” by name every day at 2:47 PM, as a reminder of Acts 2:47. Set an alarm on your phone to help you stay consistent. Pray for their heart to be open to God’s love and for opportunities to connect with them.
- Connect with them:
- Build a deeper relationship with your “One More.” This might look like having a meaningful conversation, inviting them to grab coffee, or offering to pray for them during a tough time.
- When the time feels right, invite them to join you at church. Our invite cards make it easy to extend an invitation: “What are you doing Sunday? Come hang out at church with me!”
One More is not about projects; it’s about people.
We don’t see people as projects to be completed—we see them as individuals loved by God. Relational evangelism happens naturally as we care for others, listen to their stories, and walk together with them in life. That means inviting them into your life too! It’s about planting seeds, trusting God to bring the growth, and celebrating small moments of connection.
